Making Sock Puppets
Get together any old socks and make sock puppets and then have the kids make a play and perform it for you. The kids can help design the sock puppets and use their creativity to come with a story and work together with each other to perform it. Hours of entertainment and minimal mess!
If they are having a hard time coming up with ideas, start them off with something fun like making a tent out of old blankets in the back yard, make sock puppets, and put on a puppet show. Once they understand what you are after it will become easier for them to come up with ideas.
