Carry spare socks. If your socks get wet whilst hiking you will want to change them. When you get to camp you can dry your wet socks in a jacket while you are setting up camp and cooking dinner. This will prevent wet feet the following day.

When it comes to wearing only socks into the home, there are two problems with this. First, you will need to bring extra socks with you to the job if you clean the outside of the windows first and then the inside. The reason why you need the extra socks in this scenario is because usually your socks will get wet, and you don't want to be trumping around their house in wet socks. Standing on couches and walking across wood floors in wet socks is a serious problem. The second reason why only wearing socks is not the greatest idea, is because it's not the most professional way to go, even though it's better then shoes.

Socks are as important as hiking boots are, no matter what your planned trip looks like. Socks provide cushioning and protection for the feet. They also help wick away moisture when the feet sweat. If socks get wet, though, you need to have an extra pair with you. Even a day hike out of the mountains in wet socks can leave a man's feet raw and sore. In winter, it can actually put their life at risk. Choose socks appropriate to the weather and terrain you will encounter on your hike.
