Think they are just for little girls!? Wrong! Leg warmers and tights can even be found for your little baby boy. While it isn't a typical practice, even this thin layer of extra cloth can keep baby warmer and fashion-forward.

Leg warmers were last in fashion in the Eighties, due to the popularity of films like Flashdance and Fame. Now they're back. People in their teens and twenties wear them like I did nearly thirty years ago - with leggings and big baggy tops. Being a bit past all that, I've got a slightly different angle on the legwarmers trend: I wear them alongside socks as an alternative to nylon tights/hose, underneath boots and a long skirt. (I hate tights, for the same reason that most tall women probably hate tights - because walking around with a three inch gap between your own crotch and that of the tights is bloody uncomfortable.) I find that the legwarmers prevent the boots from chafing your legs, while being comfy and warm at the same time. Note to young people: the older you get, the higher "comfy" comes up in the list of your fashion priorities. Sorry, but it's true.
