Golf clothing should not just be stylish; most important, it needs to be comfortable and functional. Trainers, denim jeans, shirts without collars, short shorts and sleeveless shirts for men are generally forbidden. Some clubs insist that men wear long socks with shorts. Others forbid ladies in the clubhouse in shorts or even trousers. Dress codes vary from country to country and club to club. Be prepared to respect them.
